Real Estate Capital Convergence 2024

From April 23-25, 2024, Newlex had the honor of participating in the 2024 Real Estate Capital Convergence in Mérida, a key event for the real estate financing and development ecosystem in Mexico.

During the event, our managing partner, Axel Estrada Medina, presented the topic "Legal Vehicles for Receiving Investment ," which outlined the most commonly used legal instruments for structuring investments in real estate projects. The talk addressed the different types of vehicles available—private, public, fiduciary, and hybrid—their legal, operational, and regulatory implications, as well as the rights and obligations that must be considered when receiving investment, both from institutional funds and fintech platforms.

The presentation also explored practical and comparative case studies, with examples of FIBRAs, CKDs, and crowdfunding schemes, highlighting the opportunities and risks for developers seeking to capitalize their projects under secure and transparent structures.
